2. Collection of data on fermented foods of south asia have been initiated and data base
     develepoment have been started under the supervision of a reference committee.

3. Rukhsana Chaudary and Padma Ambalam visit Sweden to do research on
     fermented foods and helicobactor pylori with prof. Torkel Wadström and
     Prof. Åsa Ljungh at the department of medical microbiology.

4. Sri Subodh Kant Sahai, Minister for Food Processing Industries expressed
     his appreciation for the network and offered to support its future activities.
